How the Refuge and sessions work

Welcome
It is offered in the afternoon between 3:00 pm and 6:30 pm .
We welcome all ages. Children must be accompanied by their parents.
Accommodation
The REFUGE operates on the principle of " full board " .
Meal times: 08:15 – 12:00 – 19:00 .
Traditional and carefully prepared family cooking.
Any medical allergies or dietary restrictions should be reported before the stay, if applicable.
Accommodation is provided in two adjacent buildings: The Refuge and the Annex .
All rooms have one or more beds, a table and a sink.
Bedding is provided (pillows and blankets). Showers and toilets are communal and located on each floor.
Some rooms have private bathrooms (at an additional cost).
Free wifi connection in the Refuge and Annex premises.
Daily rates, full board (during one session)
The prices shown are reserved for members of the association.
An annual fee of €10 per family is required for membership.
Single room: €52.00
Double Room: €75.00
Tourist tax supplement payable upon departure: calculated on site
Annual family membership fee payable at the time of booking or on site: €10.00
Children (up to 7 years old) accompanied by their parents: Free
Children and teenagers (aged 8 to 18) accompanied by their parents: €20
Students: €25
Payment and Deposit
A pre-booking will only be effective after payment of a deposit of €75 to be made by bank transfer or check at least 20 days before the date of your stay.

Tourist tax:
Please note that in addition to the price shown for your choice of room or booking of the cottage, a tourist tax must be paid directly on site to the establishment.
It amounts to approximately €1.10 per night and per room for one or two adults. Discounts available for children. More information at https://valdargent.taxesejour.fr/
Spiritual activity - Bible study meetings:
Two meetings per day at 10:45 am and 8:30 pm , with no obligation to attend.
They are led by pastors invited for the different sessions.
These meetings also include a section of songs and testimonies.
The Sunday service on site is at 10 a.m.
Residents' attendance at meetings is greatly appreciated, but not mandatory. Musicians who wish to participate in the singing are welcome to bring their instruments.

Hobbies
Leisure activities are left to individual initiative.
For sports enthusiasts : hiking, tennis, horse riding, quad biking, go-karting, swimming; in winter, skiing, sledding and snowshoeing. The nearest ski slopes are about 5 km away.
For walks : the wine route (Ribeauvillé, Kaysersberg, Riquewihr), the Crest Route of the Vosges massif (Col du Bonhomme, Col de la Schlucht…), Colmar, Strasbourg, as well as Germany.
For cultural and tourist visits : silver mines, Haut-Koenigsbourg castle, stork park, monkey mountain, eagle aviary, museums, Dr. Schweitzer's house… Local artisans also offer demonstrations (candy making, gingerbread, pottery…).
Especially for children : Fraispertuis amusement park.

Linen
Everyone is asked to bring their own toiletries.
We also ask that you bring your own sheets and pillowcases. However, it is possible to rent a set of sheets for €8. This option must be specified when making your reservation and paid for at the same time as your stay.
Transportation
By train , you can arrive at Sainte-Marie-aux-Mines station .
You can also take a bus from Sélestat or Saint-Dié-des-Vosges towards Sainte-Marie-aux-Mines. Get off at the "Services techniques" stop.
By plane , arrival is at Strasbourg-Entzheim airport.
In certain situations, pick-up at the train station or airport is possible:
Round trip from Sélestat or Saint-Dié-des-Vosges: €16 (2 x €8)
Round trip Strasbourg-Entzheim airport: €22 (2 x €11)
Pets are not allowed.
